Laravel OCI & cXML PunchOut Plugin
Laravel is a technical framework used to build custom e-commerce solutions. It is an excellent choice for businesses with unique workflows or complex integrations that do not fit into standard software packages. With Laravel, you retain full control over the entire structure of your online store, ensuring efficient performance and a result that aligns precisely with your organization's needs.
Because Laravel online stores are always custom-built, a standard plug-and-play integration is rarely applicable right out of the box. Abeta has therefore developed its own plugin to equip Laravel stores with OCI and cXML PunchOut capabilities as efficiently as possible. The plugin can be installed via Composer and integrates directly with the standards of your Laravel application.
#Why choose the Abeta plugin for Laravel?
Unlike ready-to-use platforms such as Shopify or WooCommerce, a Laravel online store is built from the ground up. There is no fixed database setup, and the checkout flow is often entirely unique. Our plugin is built to easily fit into your setup:
- Installation via Composer: The plugin is added as a package directly into your store's existing code.
- Flexible setup: The plugin adapts to how users and shopping carts are uniquely structured inside your online store.
- One-time setup: Thanks to the integration with the Abeta middleware, the plugin does not require continuous adjustments when a client's procurement system changes.
Because every Laravel online store is custom-built, a few minor code adjustments will be required within your application after installation to complete the integration. Abeta is, of course, available to support you through this process.
#How does the Laravel OCI & cXML plugin work?
The plugin connects your online store via the Abeta middleware to your customers' procurement software (such as Coupa, SAP Ariba, Spend Cloud and AFAS). Abeta bridges the gap between the online store and the procurement system. This process is completely transparent to the customer, who experiences it as a direct connection to the store.
This process consists of 3 steps:
#1. Authentication / Login
When a customer wants to log in from their procurement system, the OCI or cXML request is received by Abeta. After verification, the middleware forwards the request to the Laravel plugin, automatically logging the user into the online store.
#2. Cart transfer (PunchOut)
Our plugin ensures that a PunchOut user does not complete the checkout within the online store itself. Instead, the cart data is transferred back to the procurement system via the plugin. Abeta translates this product data into the correct format required by your customer's procurement software.
#3. Purchase order receiving (optional)
The purchase order can be sent directly back to the Laravel online store or an underlying ERP system. The middleware ensures that orders from different procurement systems are correctly delivered into your Laravel environment.
